This is MY WEDDING!!

I like to share my ideas with people, but am terrible at taking criticism when people don't like them... (something I really need to work on) throughout the wedding planning process I have been sharing all of my idea's with some close work friends, and of course Scott. I have steered away from sharing some with family members because I don't like being talked out of my ideas. but lately I have realized how "selfish" I have been thinking about things surrounding the wedding. I use the word selfish because usually I worry more about others feelings then my own, but right now I just want to shout from the roof tops that it's MY WEDDING!!! there is still 4 months till the wedding so who knows this may actually happen. Lately though I have been noticing not only people wanting me to change things about the wedding because it does not work for them but also for my shower and bachelorrette. Wether it be what I am wearing is too much like theirs, or dates for the events don't work for them, or if I invited people's friends.. I knew this whole process was stressful but never once did I think that I would have to worry about pissing so many people off by making decisions on things that are supposed to be all about "me" nor did I think I would have to hear so much worry from family and friends about how stressed they are about how they will look, or how "overwhelmed" they are. Another favorite of mine is people telling me how I will act on the day of the wedding, and how unbearable it will be for all of them.. I know all brides go through this, but still nothing prepared me for a lot of this unnecessary drama.
Okay, that's enough rambling for one day!

Wedding Rings

My engagement ring is very "non" traditional, and finding the perfect wedding band was a very easy task. I have always had an idea of what I wanted it to look like and Scott and I made it happen
A little blurry but you get the idea of the diamonds with emeralds

This is not the exact ring I have, but it shows the diamond and emeralds the band of mine is white gold and the emeralds are darker to match my engagement ring

Finding a ring for Scott on the other hand is not an easy task, he wants a silver or white gold and would like the emerald green on it as well so we can match. I did find a ring with color but it was blue

If only I could change the blue to green I would be set, but since nothing is an easy task in wedding planning I will continue my search. but here is the general look and ideas for our rings

The Venue

Today was beautiful and sunny and that means we got ALOT done at Scott's parents house. Finally we are making some serious progress. The last few weeks we have been working on the pond in the backyard, and soon we can start working on other area's of the property. here are some photo's of the progress made.

The tree was already there, we did the gravel path, mulch, and flowers as well as placed the larger rocks

Flower beds put in dear the stream that will run into the pond

Off to the venue

We have gotten so much done at the Boyer's preparing the house for the wedding, as well as started to bring stuff to their house and another pile if going tomorrow!!! A little everyday!!! This is pure excitement at its finest!! (and also super sad that this is what is exciting me now days!!)

Photographer

To have a second photographer or not to have one?? That is the question! We got super lucky and have some amazing photographers in the family. My soon to be sister in law Brittney is a photographer, as well as Scott's brothers girlfriend Brittney who will be our wedding photographer. Scott and I discussed getting a second shooter for some extra help so Brittney is not overwhelmed, the first Brittney (I know it's confusing)  she is one of my bridesmaids so I can't really have her take a bunch of photos :) We had a second photographer in mind, but can't seem to make a decision and another fell through. I just want to know if it's necessary or if we will be okay with one photographer, and some guest shots.

Little Everyday

This week I have come to realize that despite how much I love crafts, I am not the biggest fan of everything coming in a hundred.. This weeks tasks were the activity books for the kids, with crayons for each, and the place setting thank you notes. (I am halfway done with those) A lot of work. But lately I keep having "nightmares" about the wedding not going as planned. Last nights was that it was the morning of the wedding and we forgot the script for the officiant and had to make one up 5 minutes prior to the ceremony (disaster) I feel like I am suffering from CABS crazy ass bride syndrom (I made that up, I am sure it will catch on) I just need to take some deep breaths, and relax!! A little over 4 months to go!!
Thank you notes

Wedding Bug

I have been full on bite by the wedding motivation bug. Today I accomplished so much, and I feel so relaxed. I made a step by step list of EVERYTHING I will need for every aspect of the wedding, I made a calender for each month that I have left until the big day. I painted the frames for our photos that we are going to display over the sign in table, and finished our card box, and painted some more of the wine bottles, I also made some favors, the reserved signs for our "special guests" the list goes on and on :)

Guest Sign In

I have been searching for a unique idea, and these are some that I have come across. There are a ton of wedding blogs out there with DIY ideas or links to make your own sign in books.

Bridal Shower

Last night I revived my bridal shower invitation for a retro 50's housewife themed shower! I couldn't be more excited, each invitation was given an insert telling the recipient what room to get me a gift for (super clever) My sister/best friend/Moh Hannah is in charge of the festivities with the help of my other 2 bridesmaids, and Brittney 2 :) I can't wait for it to be closer to summer so all of this can happen! I am an exremely impatient bride, although if it was July I would be EXTREMELY behind..lol!
Here are the invites!
