Final Fitting

I had my final dress fitting last night, and we almost had an "uh oh" moment. Everything was going smoothly there were even some more tears shed, and once we got to the last section of dress needing zipped we encountered a problem.. we were having some serious issues, this brought on more tears (not the good kind). I have been watching what I eat, working out, but nothing can prevent a certain area from growing.. after about 5 minutes of pulling tucking, and shimmy-ing we realized my peti coat was tucked up into the bodice of the dress (phew I could finally breath) then we finally got the dress zipped, and it felt a little off, not what I remembered from last time. Ellen who made my dres kept walking circles around me to determine the problem, once the shoes and everything went on we realized that the dress was up to high, like an inch to high... lol. needless to say once we moved it down and re zipped, and tucked it on it fit like a glove..   it was a long night! :) but I couldn't be happier with the end result and I can't wait to wear it in 46 days <3

Color or no color??

I need a little "pop" on my dress, but because I have a tough time with all white. I am browsing trying to find something that would do the trick, and all I can really find are satin or beaded sashes. I am not a bead kind of girl so I am leaning more towards the satin sash. Maybe something like this..

 

Any suggestions or ideas?

Bridal Shower

Today was my bridal shower hosted by my Maid of Honor Hannah, and I had so much fun!! It was a 50's housewife retro themed shower. Everyone had to do a Q & A game about me. Of course my sister Briana got first, followed by a close friend Alyssa swooping in for second. Then we did the toilet paper wedding dress competition that I got to judge. Candy Table

We have been really struggling with trying to decide on what to do for wedding favors. Then we went to my cousins wedding where there was a whole table full of CANDY!! Scott was in heaven. So now I am making a candy table happen.. lol. At first I wasn't thrilled at the idea, but since Scott wanted it Scott gets it. (Since I seem to have gotten my way on everything else) I have been looking up cute ideas on how to make it look cute, and fun the just a bunch of candy.. lol
Here are some things I have found

Could stick to our color scheme, but only blue and green candy might me limited

2 months!!

AHHH, today marks 2 months till the big day!! I can't believe how fast these last 8 months have gone by. Today I got my garters, fabric for the table cloths, and my reception shoes!! I need to REALLY get my head into the game and start mailing rehearsal stuff and schedules, I have a feeling these next couple weeks will be BUSY!!
