191 days

Today Scott and I got to have a much needed date night :) We went and saw The woman in black... super scary, and had dinner. I know this is not "wedding" related, but I don't care feeling very happy today. I just love this guy so much and can't wait to get married, and start the rest of our lives!

Antsy

Today, I have the day off from work so I am browsing more wedding stuff (my favorite past time) but today I feel different then I have since I got engaged. I am antsy I just wanna get this show on the road. I have 196 day's and it seems like it's forever away. I can't wait to marry my best friend. I can't wait to have everything done, and be there waiting impatiently on the day of to walk down the isle with my mom! Even just sitting here typing I can't help but smile. It's  a good feeling. :)
OOOH, and we will be ordering our invites this week. We won't be sending them out till late April or early May but I am excited to see them since I designed them myself I know they are good! :)

Shoes

Second blog for today I am drowning in ideas on what shoe's I should wear. I am doing something unique for the reception, but I want heels for the ceremony and I have like 50 ideas. I am going to lay them all out here and hope that one pair stick out above the rest.

Ring Bearer

We have one of cutest kids to be our ring bearer Scott's nephew and our best man's son Satori. He was the ring bearer in Scott's sister Brittney's wedding as well. I have been weighing with idea's on what he should wear and I am thinking something like this
I dunno about the converse but I love the page hat, and suspenders
This is him from Brittney's wedding :) So cute!

Our Love Story

1. How long have you and your significant other been together?
We have been together for 4 1/2 years

2. How did you meet? {What's your "love" story?}
We went to school together from Elementary school thru high school together. We officially "met" going into our senior year, we were at registration sitting with a group of mutual friends. Scott was talking and had made a comment about no one listening, and to everyone's surprise I spoke up that I was. That week we began talking, and I had slipped to a close friend Tianna that I thought he was cute, and she should drop a subtle hint to him. She walked right up to him and told him I thought he was hot, and that day he asked me to go golfing with him. That marked our first official "date" We hung out as just friends for a couple of months and went to homecoming together. Until October 12, 2007 Scott sat right across from me, and put on some cute music. "Picture of you by the last goodnight" and texted to me I want you to be my gal.

3. If married, how long have you been married?
We will be getting married on September 8, 2012 :) and I couldn't be more excited

4. If you are married, where did you get married at? Big or small wedding?
We will be getting married at Scott's parents house in Junction City. It will be a small wedding with maybe 100 guests. This holds special meaning to us, since his house was where he asked me to be his girlfriend :)

5. Do you have any nick-names that you call one another?
Scott has alot of nicknames for me some that are appropriate for on here are; cinnamon bear, Jenjafer or Jengy. I have tried for years to come up with one for Scott, scooter pie, scotch tape, butterscotch, Honey bear... and he hates them all lol! Some day I will get a good one :)

6. Name 3 things you love most about your honey.
I could spend the rest of my life listing off what I love about Scott. He is so caring, and sweet. He keeps me grounded, and calm. He is incredibly smart, and does whatever he can to make me feel special and loved every day.  He is the first person I have ever been able to completely be myself around. That is way more then 3, so I will move on :)

7. Tell us how he proposed?
On November 15, 2011 I came home from work, and then late night girls night with Scott's sister in law. To what I thought was an empty house, I walked upstairs to our bedroom to find a wooden chest full of mementos of mine and Scott's future life together a key to our first home, onesie's caramel candies for when we grow old, and ending with a ring box with a note telling me to come downstairs were Scott was waiting on one knee and if I wasn't already balling he had a beautiful speech prepared (kept secret between us) and asked me to be his wife, I said Yes! I soon found out that he had waited outside my Mom's work to ask her permission while I was at work, and also called my dad to ask his :) He amazes me every day with how thoughtful he is

8. Is he a flowers and teddy bear kind of guy for v-day, or strawberrieschampagne, and rose petals?
None of the above, every year Scott makes me dinner, this year was seasoned Salmon :) YUM!

9. Are you a sunset dinner on the beach kind of girl, or pop a movie in and relax on the couch?
Pop in movies, and relax. Scott and I love watching t.v. show's together so I fully enjoy relaxing on the couch together!

10. Tell us one thing you'd like to do with your significant one day. If you could do anything? Go anywhere?
We are planning to go to Greece next summer :) I am so excited!

11. Give us one piece of advice of keeping a relationship strong and full of love.
Make time for one another, and communication. I can't stress how important both of those are :)

12.  Show us a picture of what love means to you.
This sums us up in a nut shell

Some more idea's

I keep settling on idea's, and it makes me so happy. But, there are a few idea's that I am wrestling with. Some opinions would be appreciated, or an idea on how to make a few of these possible
I like the look of the barrels and since it's a backyard wedding this would tie in a bit, but I have no idea where I could find these
I want to make our own napkins, and I found the idea on a website, but I don't know what kind of fabric to use
I love this idea, but once again would need some serious help on making them happen
Any ideas on how to make this little beauty happen :)

Valentines Day

Scott and I both had to work on Valentines day, but that didn't stop us. We decided to celebrate it today instead. I came home from running errands with Hannah to a nice candlelit dinner (seasoned salmon, and provolone cheese sauce on pasta) it was such a nice surprise, my favorite food that Scott hates lol! He is so sweet

and then to top it off we had a nice night out at the arcade, and then bowling. It has been awhile since we have gone out just the two of us like that and I totally almost broke a hundred ( a big feat for me )
and every year I always make Scott a gift, and an ice cream cake :) Yeah, we spoil one another
I made him his very own pokemon card! :)

Memory Lane

Scott and I have been getting rid of a lot of stuff to make room for new things we are registering for. In the middle of all of our clutter I found a scrapbook I made for Scott of senior year here were some of the pages, there are a lot more and I just wanted to share some of the fun ones
These were from homecoming week, Scott and I on the float, and at the dance is the one on the right. (before we were dating he asked me to the dance :) and the bottom picture is him and two good friends
Fun pictures of us, the two top ones were us slaking off during newspaper, and the bottom is from the talent show that Scott as in. (dressing matching was accidental)
The top was Halloween 2007, and the bottom was his thank you speech for Mr. Tiger
Our senior prom we were both on prom court, I won queen with one of our good friends
And at graduation, we were walking partners! :)

On a roll

I started another wedding project, and am in love :) I will be adding to them but you won't see that until pics from the wedding come up. Here is a preview :)
They are painted wine bottles, butter-cream colored paint

Makup fit for a ginger

My dear friend Missy is doing the makeup for the wedding, she recently did the wedding for Scott's brothers wedding and did such a beautiful job. Now that it is my turn I went on a search for makeup ideas that would go with my pale freckled ginger skin, and I am thinking that understated is the best way to go.

Finally feeling like a bride

I have been kind of feeling the wedding "blues" lately. Since we have gotten engaged I haven't really felt like a bride. Everyone has to keep reminding me that this is "MY" wedding when it comes to decisions. I have been so worried about everyone else's opinion, that I have lost my own vision of what I want a little. Well, I am vowing here that I won't double check opinions (excepts Scott's ) I will go with what we want!! For those of you closest to me keep reminding me that I wrote this, I am sure I will forget :)
I found this photo from my dress trying on days and thought it was fitting for the blog title :) and doesn't show off to much of me in a wedding dress!

Post Two: The work has begun

Since we are having our wedding at Scott's parents house we will be helping out on the weekends to help finish up some projects. This weekends task was the pond that Scott's dad started awhile back. We helped to make the gravel/stone path that will go around it, little did I know I will be using a portion of this path for my bridal walk!! Very exciting to see it all coming together
It's alot harder then I thought it would be, but it's nice to see some progress!
And Mr. Supervisor showing Scott what to do! :)

Post One: Bridesmaids dress

This weekend was a busy one. So, I will have two posts the first showing off our bridesmaid's dresses. We found them on "accident" My two sisters were just browsing around the mall on Saturday, and stumbled on them. Hannah (Moh) sent me a picture, and right after Scott and I drove over to see them in person, and 15 minutes later we bought all 3 :) I am very excited. We plan to add some personal touches to them as it gets closer to (these will remain a secret) I hope you all like them as much as I do :)
They have cute flowers on the sleeve's :)

Wedding Program

So, for our wedding program we wanted something a little non traditional. We decided to make a wedding newspaper. I won't be showing our actual one until the day of the wedding, but thought I would share how cute I think these are.

Excited

Lately, I have been feeling over the moon excited to be getting married. I can't believe it, at first I was so stressed, and now I couldn't feel more relaxed about the whole thing. How could I not with all of the amazing support I have from our beautiful friends and family. I have laid down our table decor and already starting work on it, and have almost finished the song list for the ceremony. (2 things I was on edge about) We have to wait for bridesmaids dresses, since my soon to be Sister in law is due in April (eeek) and I am very relived for this delay so I have time before that becomes a priority. I am assembling our first invitation since my aunt won't be here for the wedding I wanted to giver her's to her as soon as possible. I am very excited to share as much of this with her as I can. And lastly, I have been having fun practicing how I will sign my "new" name!! Let me just say that after almost 23 years of signing Jennifer Williams, I am so relieved to have 7 more months to practice Jennifer Boyer.
I have the cutest friends, this was on my desk at work last night :) Love you Shelby :)
